Join Izzy and Lyle as they head out on an exciting mountain bike adventure in the woods! Find out who crashes. Will they be able to fix a bike snafu on their own? Cheer them on while they face physical challenges and try not to hold your breath when there’s a close call with two spooked horses.

Enjoy the ride with Izzy and Lyle as they zoom through the forest, twist around trees and learn important lessons about trail etiquette along the way. Be sure to keep an eye out for Squirrely the squirrel throughout the book! Does he get in the way, or does he help everyone have a fun and safe adventure?

Izzy loves riding mountain bikes to explore the great outdoors, to stay active, remain healthy and have fun. The confidence she gets from biking helps her learn how to face fears and be strong, so she uses her bike as a tool for personal growth. She really loves introducing new people to the sport and bringing friends together to practice good trail stewardship and build community through bikes.

GIRLS ALLRIDE:

A mountain bike program for girls ages 9-16, has a mission to use mountain biking as a platform for youth to discover potentials, build community, and strengthen themselves - inside and out. The program helps girls develop their mountain biking skills and have fun, with a strong focus on teaching them how to face fears, believe in themselves and think positive thoughts. Money donated to Girls AllRide goes towards helping break down barriers for entry into the sport by providing bicycles and gear for those in need. There is a strong focus on helping girls who are black, indigenous, people of color feel welcome and a sense of belonging in the bike community.

WORLD BICYCLE RELIEF FOUNDATION:

In developing regions of the world, millions of people walk for miles each day just to survive. On foot, individuals race against the sun to complete everyday tasks. Distance is a barrier to attending school, receiving healthcare, and delivering goods to market. World Bicycle Relief delivers specially designed, locally assembled, rugged bicycles for people in need. We’ve developed an efficient, innovative, and scalable model to empower students, health workers, and entrepreneurs in rural developing regions with life-changing mobility.

GROW CYCLING FOUNDATION:

Grow Cycling Foundation promotes education, access, and opportunities that advance diversity and inclusion cycling. Their goal is to bring bikes to places that historically haven't had them. Whether they are providing access by building a pumptrack in Los Angeles, education and pathways to careers, or opportunities to connect and thrive with other cyclists, Grow Cycling Foundation is determined to show we can all be successful cyclists and that a bike can truly change the world.

THE BE GOOD FOUNDATION:

The Be Good Foundation creates opportunities for outdoor exploration, personal discovery and humanitarian service at local, national and global levels. Priorities include removal of UXO, or unexploded ordnance, throughout Laos, protecting public lands for recreation and access to all, and partnering with other cycling related nonprofits to fund impactful change in their communities.
