Who are these camps meant for?
ALL LEVELS WELCOME! We love teaching beginners new to the sport all the way to advanced riders looking to take their riding to the next level. We encourage any person 18+ who identifies as female to join our events! Overview of the weekend: It's all about YOU! These clinics are meant to bring women together to share the joy of mountain biking and learn in a safe, encouraging and welcoming environment. We help you understand mountain biking on a deeper level and are sure you will take your riding to a level you never thought possible! We begin our day with skills and drills practice in a safe, controlled environment so each participant gets personal attention while dialing in skills before hitting the trails. Each destination has different terrain to work with. Some examples of things we work on: Perfecting body positioning and balance in changing terrain, technical climbing and descending moves, cornering, switchbacks, berms, pump tracks, wheel lifts, wheelies, manuals, roll-down lunges, bunny hops, drops, introductory jumping, up and over logs, step-ups, pumping and flowing... FUN!! What's included:
Our camps are two days plus a special meet and greet, nameplate-making, and happy hour registration the evening prior to day one. We like to set the mood for a great, non-intimidating weekend of bonding on bikes! Day 1: We divide participants into groups based on the survey each participant filled out at registration. We work on technical skills in the morning, and take it to the trails in the afternoon. If we have lift access we get plenty of time to take runs and dial in skills. On Saturday evening at most locations, we feature education stations with SRAM, bike fit opportunities, tire changing, chain breaking, nutrition talks, drinks, snacks, and social time. More bonding with rad ladies and bikes! Day 2: On Day 2 there will be an optional free morning stretching/yoga session (at most camp locations) followed by more skills, drills, trail riding, smiling, encouraging and playing on bikes! At end of day two we exchange contact information to help grow the community of female mountain bikers! |
