Grand Targhee Resort boasts spectacular cross-country single track trails and miles of lift-access downhill trails winding through wildflower meadows with epic views in every direction. Established as the first downhill mountain bike destination in the Tetons, the Grand Targhee Bike Park offers every style of riding for every level of mountain bike rider: gentle, banked cruisers, tight and twisty single track cross-country, exciting, rock-strewn downhill, drops, jumps and much more. During the summer months when the West is sweltering, Grand Targhee and the Tetons might just be the most extraordinary, cool-temperature riding in the lower 48! This clinic is hosted at Grand Targhee Resort where we will work on perfecting skills using large grassy areas, mountain bike specific skills zone, drops and cross-country style trails nearby. In the afternoon we will take advantage of the nearby cross country style trails and weather dependent, the lift access downhill trails.
Helmet Requirements: This camp will have lift-access riding for some riders, weather and skill level dependent, and full-face helmets are highly recommended if you are interested in more advanced skills in the bike park like jumps, drops and higher speed downhill riding. If you bring a full-face with you, also bring your open-face helmet for morning skills and drills. We will have a limited number of Fox Rampage full-face helmets to demo but please plan to bring your own, borrow one from a friend orrent one from the resort if you would like to guarantee proper fit and use of a full-face helmet for the entire weekend. Downhill helmets are best paired with goggles so bring those too if possible. Torent a full face helmet, please make sure to contact Habitat right away as they have a limited inventory.
