FAQ's: Will there be skill instruction on this trip? The trip is primarily focused on riding and adventure, but we will also incorporate skills tips and tricks throughout the week to help you feel comfortable on the trails.
Do I need to be fit for these trips? Having a good base level of fitness is important to enjoy this trip. You should be comfortable riding 2-4 hours several days in a row. There will be a combo of both cross country rides that will require a substantial amount of pedaling and rides using a shuttle service that are primarily downhill. Even the shuttle rides, however, will require a good amount of fitness. We are not "hammering" nor doing marathon cross country rides, but the fitter and more prepared you are for your trip, the more enjoyable it will be for you. Our routes will be varied, but a good guideline is to be prepared to ride 20-25 miles in a day with 2500 feet of climbing.
What level rider is the trip geared toward? The trip is designed for intermediate and advanced level mountain bikers. A beginner rider might not feel comfortable on some of the trails we are riding. It's important that you are comfortable on your bike and have experienced varied single track, technical features and have a solid riding technique. It's also important that you can go with the flow, are comfortable in varied weather conditions, and have a great attitude!
