Bentonville, AR
Signature Mountain Bike Skills Camp

April 27-28, 2024

$525

A must-experience mountain bike destination

This camp will be hosted near Slaughter Pen recreation area (mountain bike playground) where we will spend the morning using the grass, natural terrain and purpose-built obstacles to learn lots of awesome skills. In the afternoons we'll hop on the nearby trail system which incorporates progressive features, but also provides alternatives for riders of all levels.

Why is Northwest Arkansas an up and coming mountain biking destination in the country right now? Because the community and the local Walton Family Foundation take mountain biking seriously. They hired the best trail builders in the business to design an epic trail system within city limits with paved bike paths leading to every trailhead. The result, a plethora of different trails to match any level of experience including some of the most competitive trails in the U.S. As if all this wasn't enough, the lower altitude allows enthusiasts to ride almost year-round.

More Information

  • This is a “cross-country” focused camp with pedaling up and descending down fun, well-built trails with intermittent sections of technical riding through rocks and fun features to play on like wooden wall rides and great corners.

The trails here are not particularly steep but we pedal to them, so it is advised to have a little base fitness and stamina for the weekend, keeping in mind the trail sessions are not “hammer-fests” because we stop frequently to work on challenging features. Slaughter Pen Recreation area has some great skill-building areas. There's something for everyone, including a small jump zone for more advanced riders to try catching a little air if they're ready. *Electric pedal-assist bikes ARE allowed on all trails in Bentonville. Yay!!

*Note: If you are a very advanced rider who has specific goals like “gap-jumps, doubles, whips, over 5ft drops, etc,” we suggest taking a private lesson with one of our coaches at a location that caters to jumping and dropping. If you are CLEARING tabletops comfortably and consistently, a private lesson will be more suited to your needs and desires.
